Project “Homo Cludens”
An art-abject of Wielaert, consisting of a line of
marble prison-doors, installed in the visitors-ward
of the penitentiary of Almere.
Through the brass shutters of the rosy marble
prison-doors, a sequence of eight photo-portraits
is presented, offering the detainees a glance at the
outside world, at regular civilians, sentenced
to life imprisonment in their daily doings.
